“[The CD] has essays on what trigger points are, therapies, perpetuating factors, general guidelines for self-help, and a complete listing of more than 100 muscles. There are main drawings of the muscles, with solid red areas that show the most painful areas, and there are shadowy areas that have fewer dots, denoting areas that are stiff or uncomfortable when a given muscle has trigger points. These drawings also show the surface anatomy of the trigger points, followed by anatomical drawings that can be enlarged when you click on them. Finally, there are little movie-camera icons that show DeLaune demonstrating different stretches and trigger-point releases on QuickTime.
The essays are well thought out and interesting reading. The author is interesting and more than fair in describing the different therapies.

“…I had rotator cuff surgery in August 2015. The surgery gave me some relief. All the surgeon did was snip off a bone spur and cleaned out the arthritis. Some months later, I went back to the shoulder surgeon to tell him my right shoulder and arm still hurt. The surgeon ordered another MRI and said everything was fine with my shoulder…I ordered your CD ROM. I tried the exercises at home but I realized I need another person to help me. I took the CD to 2 different chiropractors who wanted to do their “chiropractor thing”. Then I was telling my primary care physician about my dilemma. She said ‘Why not try my physical therapist?” It turns out the PT knew about trigger point therapy and was willing to try your program. I have seen her twice week since the beginning of February, now once a week. In between visits I do your exercises. I took your advice and bought a lumbar support for my chair. Also a purse that goes across my body. When we started I couldn’t stand for her to touch the trigger points (too painful). Now I lie on the bed on the tennis ball. My shoulder doesn’t hurt any more. My arm is about 50% pain free…”
